Catholic Relief Services works in Pakistan and they have been actively responding to the devastating floods from the first day.  CRS has already distributed shelter and hygiene kits to thousands of families while continuing to assess the rapidly deteriorating situation.  Additionally, we have started cash-for-work programs that hire local Pakistanis to repair several damaged water systems that provide clean drinking water to thousands, as well as repair projects to fix roads and retaining walls.
For this particular emergency response, we anticipate that the majority of our funding will come from grants …

As the summer rapidly comes to a close, we take this opportunity to welcome back the students, faculty and staff at STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.  We also wish all of our college and school age parishioners who will be starting or continuing with their studies, our best wishes for a safe and productive semester.

The Knights of Columbus will hold a Blood Drive on September 4 from 9 AM to 2 PM at 760 Post Place in Secaucus.  Blood is in great demand over the Labor Day weekend and if you’re 18 years or older and in good health come out and give a pint.
