Hoboken Catholic Academy will be helping the victims of the earthquake in Haiti via their “Hearts for Haiti” project wherein they will collect monetary dona- tions and hold bake sales. Many thanks to Mrs. Grace Sciancele- pore and her committees for coordinating successful Open Houses for HCA this past Thursday. HCA will hold another Open House on Thursday. Students in Grades 5 and 8 will be taking the Archdiocesan ACRE test on Tuesday, February 16th. This test assesses the stu- dents’ knowledge of the Catholic faith

Congratulations to our 8th grade students who recently received letters of acceptance from Catholic High Schools. Among the schools accepting members of HCA’s class of 2009 to date are: Hudson Catholic , St. Peter’s Prep, St. Dominic Academy, St. Anthony, St. Mary, Pa- ramus Catholic, Marist, Notre Dame (NYC), Mt. St. Dominic Academy. Scholarship funds from some of the high schools were also awarded to students based on academic achievement.
