Pre-Cana is a course or consultation required by the Bishops of the State of New Jersey for couples before they can be married in the Catholic Church. The name is derived from John 2:1-12, the wedding feast at Cana in Galilee, where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine.
Approaches to Pre-Cana vary among Catholic dioceses and parishes. Ideally, each parish or local community will have its own Pre-Cana Team.
For more information, please see a member of the parish staff.
