“Lighten Up! … A Celebration of Faith and Family “ is coming to Ss. Peter and Paul Parish to kick-off our 2010 Faith Formation Program. Nationally-known Catholic inspirational comedian, singer, storyteller, teacher and author Doug Brummel and his “cast of characters” will lead our parish community on a unique faith journey on Sunday, September 19, 2010.
The morning session begins at 9:15 am SHARP in the Church is geared to all of our Faith Formation children and their parents. The 10:30 am mass will immediately follow.

My name is Sr. Justina Ekibenda, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of St.
Bernadette (FSSB). We are a diocesan religious community of sisters of the
diocese of Rulenge in Tanzania, East Africa. Bishop Alfred Lanctot, the
first Bishop of Rulenge diocese, founded this religious community in 1958
and he died ten years later. We are located in Kagera region in the
Northwestern corner of Tanzania. We are involved in various ministries
such as working in hospitals, teaching in schools, taking care of orphans,
lepers and vulnerable children. We work to empower women and help needy
children.

Last weekend, we bid farewell and thank you to Sisters Petra and Symphorosa, who ministered among us for the month of July. We wish them well in their continued studies. We will post their new addresses as soon as we receive them.
This weekend, we extend another warm welcome to Sister Justina Ekibenda, FSSB and Sister Emiliana Ntanguye, who will minister among us for the month of August.
The Sisters will pray with us, visit the sick, assist at mass as Eucharistic ministers, participate in various parish activities and groups as well …
