Music Ministry – Lift Up Your Voice!
Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of music empowers worship and facilitates prayer in our liturgies. Singing enables us to express the spirit and passion of what mere speech cannot. As an integral part of our parish life, this ministry is active with many talented volunteers and professional musicians who are committed to creating a solemn prayer environment through music. Encompassing a variety of styles from the rich tradition of hymnody to the songs of contemporary composers, there is something offered for every worshiper at Ss Peter and Paul Church. We invite you to contact our Director of Music Ministries, Mr. Matthew Still, to learn how you can get involved and share your talents with the community.
Cantors are an essential part of the liturgy. Singers who serve as a cantors should have good pitch, basic music reading skills, and an ability to help lead the congregation in song. Each cantor is scheduled based on availability and often requires preparation aside from the regular choir rehearsals. Singers who feel they may be eligible to participate in this important part of the music ministry are encouraged to contact the Music Director, Mr. Matthew Still to set up an audition: firstname.lastname@example.org

Their repertoire includes: sacred traditional and contemporary liturgical pieces, and a variety of anthem-style meditation pieces. Rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 5th at 7:30PM in the church. Previous singing experience is helpful, but not required. Please contact the Music Director, Mr. Matthew Still for more information:

Participation in this exciting, fun and educational program will enable children to grow in their faith, expand their musical horizons and share the gift of song with the parish.
