Our parish family rejoices in the birth of your children. They are signs to us that we are growing in numbers and holiness. Parents are expected to attend one baptism preparation meeting prior to the baptism with the Godparents if they are able. Parents are only required to attend the session for their first child.  This meeting may take place during your pregnancy. We ask that all those requesting Ss. Peter and Paul Parish to baptize their children be registered and participating members of the parish.

The role of a Godparent/Sponsor is a blessing for both the child and the Godparent/Sponsor. Parents should choose them wisely. At least one of the Godparents/Sponsors must be an active and participating member of the Catholic Church.  Those who attend Ss. Peter and Paul Church will be known to our parish staff.  Those who live in other parishes must be able to get a Sponsor Certification from the Pastor at their home parish or in the parish where they practice their faith.

Please keep in mind that no baptisms are scheduled during Advent and Lent. A listing of Baptism preparation meetings and ceremonies can be found below. Please do make any definite reservations until you have spoken to the Baptism office.

It is necessary that you reserve a date for the baptism ceremony.  Please call or email the parish secretary to make sure the date you are requesting is available.
