Volunteer as a Catechist/Assisstant

Are you looking for a way to share your faith, time and talents with others? Please consider volunteering as a catechists (teacher) for Faith Formation, or as an Assistant in the Program.

The word catechist comes from a Greek word meaning "to echo". Catechists echo the Word of God to our parish children. They come from all walks of life and need not be expert teachers or brilliant theologians.

Catechists are ordinary people, who generously volunteer their time to share their Catholic faith, values, and traditions with the youngest generation of Christians. You do not have to have a child in the program to volunteer. We encourage all adults to prayerfully consider whether or not they’re being called to minister as a Catechist, or to help us as an Assistant.

Catechists are people who keep the memory of God alive; they keep it alive in themselves and they are able to revive it in others.  -Pope Francis
